To apply for undergraduate degrees (including higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, and degrees), honors degrees, postgraduate diplomas, and Masters and doctoral degrees at the University of Mpumalanga, visit their official website and complete the online application process.

To complete the application, you will need an email address. South African applicants must provide an identification number, while foreign applicants should provide their passport number.

Once you receive your UMP student number, you will be required to pay the application fee. Ensure that you follow the instructions for scanning and submitting your documents.

Meeting the specific admission requirements for your desired qualification is necessary to be admitted to UMP. Normal admission requires a GPA of 3.0, while a GPA of at least 2.7 may put you on academic probation. International students are required to take the TOEFL iBT and achieve a minimum score of 90 points.
  • To apply for undergraduate programs, you will need to submit a completed application and official transcripts from all colleges and/or high schools attended. Transfer students with less than 60 transferable semester credits or 72 transferable quarter credits must provide a certified copy of their high school transcript or diploma. A GPA of 2.3 is required for regular admission, while a GPA of 2.0 is necessary for enrollment on academic probation. It is recommended to take the SAT or ACT, and a placement test is required for students without the required transfer courses or SAT/ACT scores. International students must take the TOEFL iBT and achieve a minimum score of 90.
