Detailed information regarding the TUT Accommodation application for the 2024-2025 academic year can be accessed on this webpage.

Request for Residency Accommodation

In the official TUT admissions form, first-year students have the option to indicate their interest in applying for residential housing. The selection of these students will be based on their unconditional acceptance into a full-time academic qualification at TUT. If there are more eligible first-year students than available spaces in the residence, the date of unconditional acceptance by the faculty will be used as a further criterion for selection.

  • Returning senior students must submit an online application for a residence space for the following year by the end of October. They can do so by logging into their Student iEnabler accounts and selecting the Residence Application option. Alternatively, they can directly visit the specified address: Login is available at https://tutprodi4app.tut.ac.za/pls/prodi41/w99pkg.mi. It is important for returning students to follow this procedure in order to secure a place in housing for the following year. The selection of these students will be based on the placement policy criteria. The primary requirements include passing all semester and year courses or maintaining a minimum academic average of 50% (or 55% for senior residences). Students should not exceed the maximum number of years allowed in any TUT residence, which is determined by the minimum number of academic years required to successfully complete a qualification plus one year. Students are also required to register for at least two subjects, excluding those registered for non-degree purposes.
  • For all other students, after academic registration, an online housing application should be submitted at the beginning of the academic year for which they require housing. First-year students, returning senior students, and other students will be selected based on the same criteria as returning students and in a first-come, first-served manner once the applications have been reviewed.
